Quickload is primarily for small businesses that wish to improve their image with a business-like website and free optional associated e-mail address(es).
All are UK hosted and normally with a .uk web address (domain name).
We also provide personal/family websites, with personalised e-mail addresses.
The domains registered belong to you and are independent of your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Having your own website and e-mail address isn't cheap, but it doesn't have to cost the earth.

Put your website name on your business stationery, cards and vehicles etc. It may be possible to get links to it from your trade body's own website. A straightforward one or two page site can tell clients what you do, how well you do it and how they can contact you. Web based e-mail is a no-cost option so you can have a more professional, personalised e-mail address.

Your clients will not want to wait for what seems like an eternity whilst your site is "loading", or just takes forever to download images with little information. This can be irritating, which is why we specialise in pages that are quick to load. Any pictures are tailored to suit and kept to a minimum, especially on that vital first page.

Prices

• A small site as described would normally cost under £200 for the setting up and first year on-line.
• Each subsequent year would cost around £60 at current rates.
• Any subsequent changes are charged at an hourly rate.

All you have to do is choose a style based on one of the examples below, supply the text and some details for the registration. We do all the rest. Alternatively, if you have your own design we can host it for you.

Personal and family sites will normally vary quite a bit from business sites.

If you want a completely new style and/or more pages that can be done. Should you wish to control your site yourself or have more facilities, other packages are available for that too.

Choosing the Background Colour

Web Safe Colours

For blocks of colours it is best to use values that are compatible with as many browsers as possible, if these are not used then the browser has to mix its colours and the display looks messy. The best values to use are known as the web safe colours and we have created another page with all 216 colours in tabulated form. This limitation does not apply to most pictures as the content usually varies enough for it not to be noticeable. To see these colours click on Web Safe Colours

Light or Dark

The background can be white or any light colour with a dark colour for the text. Alternatively it can be dark if the text is a light colour. Usually one goes for black and white or light and dark of the same colour. As you can see we've used a light green background with dark blue text.
